Decide Your Category

The whole human population can be divided into three categories: A, B and C, according to the life they live.

Isa Upanishad (1:1) says: Enjoy your life to the fullest what you have, do not covet what belongs to others.

God has given everything to everyone for what he deserves. If you want more, you need to increase your eligibility to handle more. You have to work more. If you get something extra in your life, but you do not know how to handle it, it is going to ruin your life.  That is why you confront failure before a grand success. Because, the failure is a test of your eligibility. If someone cannot handle the failure in his life, he cannot handle the success in his life as well. If you do not know how to handle the success, the success is more perilous than failure.  Without putting an equivalent effort, if you covet the possession which belongs to others, you never live a happy life. Even you cannot enjoy what belongs to you. If you cannot enjoy the things which belong to you, is nothing worse than this for the life.

This world in which we live is not ours. The life, what we are living is not the final one. We have taken millions of birth and death in the past. This life is one of them.  We take unnecessary tension, stress, anxiety and worry in this life over trifle things and we have forgotten the real quest of the life on this earth, is ultimate happiness. The human life on this earth is not to suffer, but to live in happiness with meaning and purpose.
The happiness cannot be acquired without peace of the mind, and peace cannot be acquired without ample knowledge of the self, without wisdom, without understanding the law of nature (Bhagwat Geeta 2:66).  Unfortunately, we have time for everything, but no time for the self.

The moment we recognize, the world in which we live is not ours, we enjoy it. Even the body, in which the soul indwells, has been provided to us for a certain period of time. When we get this awareness, we enjoy each and every bit of life on the earth without wasting it on any negative thoughts and acts.

3-5% people understand the real meaning of life and they truly enjoy each and every bit of life to the fullest. They fall into category A.

20% people have mediocre thought, their life fluctuates according the situation, and they live a partial life. They fall into category B.

80% people have lower thought, they live their life in darkness. Their life cannot be considered better than an animal. They put lots of condition before their life, e.g. If I get this, then I do this…… and so on.. They fulfill one condition and put another and another…. They never fulfill their condition, and waste their beautiful life on unnecessary pursuit.

Now you decide which category you fall in. You are the only person who can put you in the category of your desire by upgrading or degrading your thoughts and actions, no one else.

You are made for something bigger

Thomas Alva Edison used to sell candy and newspaper in the train. He was looking for a job, but he was not able to get a job. He was mocked many times. After many efforts, he got a job of an operator associated with a condition. The condition was to work in the night shift, and he readily accepted the condition for working in the night shift. This is the sign of a genius person. He knew that there would be less calls and issues in the night shift. And he utilized those times in his experiments. Despite his dedicated work, his work was escalated, and he was on the verge of losing his job.

He knew that those setbacks were temporary and trifle, he was made for something bigger, something greater and something higher. Without getting distracted from his temporary failures and problems, with faith and determination, he continued his experiments.

In such a way, Thomas did 1,093 inventions and founded 14 companies. GE is one of them. He proved that :

The person who cannot handle the failure in his life, he cannot handle the success in his life as well. If you do not know how to handle success, the success is more perilous than failure.

Albert Einstein postulated a “theory of relativity” in 1905. He was struggling to get it published in the science magazine. On his consistent efforts, his theory was published. When it was published, there was a tremendous commotion among the intellectual people, because no one understood that.  Einstein was called to explain it. He also could not explain it. He was mocked, his idea was derived and his theory was joked. But he had a belief on his theory.

To make people understand this theory, he started working for its simplification. For him, it took 11 years to simplify this theory. Again, in 1916, “general theory of relativity” was published, and at that time, it was understood by some of the intellectual persons.

He knew that the people were talking negative about him and theory, because they did not understand it. He reassured himself that he was made for something bigger. For his contribution in Physics, he got a Noble Prize in Physics in 1921. And he proved that :

Generally, what is not understood is abused.

APJ Kalam was rejected from SSB. Later he became the scientist and the president of India. Many other great persons were ridiculed, but they proved their greatness by their faith, determination and commitments.
If you are getting rejection from somewhere or getting mocked or your ideas are scoffed.. it means, you are not made for this … you are made for something bigger, something higher, something greater, something different.

Temporary setback is the indication of preparing you for the bigger success ahead. Always remember that you are made for something bigger ….. And you are going to prove it, if you have faith, determination and commitments.
