In Hinduism, Lord Ganesha has elephant head, he is the deity, who is worshiped first before any ceremony and any other gods and goddesses. We know the story why and how the head of Ganesha was chopped and replaced with an elephant head by his father, Lord Shiva. Rama broke the Shiva`s bow to win the hand of Sita in the competition was organized by King Janak for the marriage of his daughter Sita. The competition was only to string the bow not to break. When the bow was broken, Parashuram walked in and asked for the reason of breaking the bow. Parashuram was not happy on breaking the bow.
