Everyone in this world wants to be respected. But very few
persons get this fortune. Only countable persons get pure respect and honor.
Rest people live the life of disrespect. But how to get respect..?
Simply, be owner, be the master of something important in
your life, and you will get respect. What do I mean to be owner here? Here,
owner does not mean that you must be owner of a company, owner of a big
business or owner of some estate …. No... This is not real ownership. Many
persons have it; still they live a life of disrespect. This kind of material
accumulation may make you pompous and arrogant.
An arrogant person never gets
respect from anyone.
No matter what position you are holding, no matter what work
you are doing, take the ownership of that, take 100% responsibility and
accountability for that. This is real ownership. In such way, you become master
of that, not slave. If you do not have the ownership of your activities and
assignments, you are slave, and slaves never get respect. Slaves are treated as
slave. Masters are treated as master. This is the way, you get self-respect,
and respect from others as well. Be sure that self-respect is more important
than respect from others. Many times you may be misunderstood, but it should
not impact your self-respect.
If you are not understood, you will be
underestimated.
Suppose, you are an employee of a private or public sector,
and you think that, I can survive without taking the ownership of my assignments,
I get salary equivalent to those persons who take the ownership of the task.
What is the difference? Difference is …. One is master of the task, he is
expert, owner, other is slave, and he shirks the work. He cannot generate
confidence in his life, no self-respect; he will feel low and jealous at every
point of time, he is cowardice, he cannot face the challenges. He cannot
acquire true happiness in his life. No respect, no confidence, no happiness….
What kind of life it is?
One point of time … people hankers for respect and honor,
which can be satisfied by taking the honest ownership and responsibility of
your prescribed duty without being pompous and arrogant.
To get honor, be the owner of your body, mind, senses and activities.
There is no other way.
