Guru came from the Sanskrit word Gu and Ru. Gu means
darkness or ignorance and Ru means remover. The remover of ignorance is called
GURU. All who teach cannot be GURU. The true GURU does not teach what is
written in the syllabus, but he teaches how to create your own syllabus of life.
The true GURU does not teach you about the story or history, but teaches you
how to create your own story and make the history out of it. He never makes you followers, but pioneer of
life. He gives the formula not the solution. He never teaches you how to avoid
tough situation, but teaches you how to acquire the strength to face the tough
situation. He does not teach you how to travel on the walked path, rather teach
you to create your own path that is never walked by anyone before. He does not
teach you how to compete someone, rather teaches you how to create. Life is not for completion, it is for
creation. He never compels his ideas, rather he teaches you how to generate
your own idea and implement it. He never instills your mind and heart with fear
of failure rather helps you to remove the fear of any kind of failure. The true
GURU does not teach you how making money; rather he teaches you how to make a
life of your choice.
If you want to be Swami Vevikananda, you must have a GURU
like Sri Ram Krishna, the realized GURU. Only a realized GURU can teach you
about realization. Only an expert person can teach you the topic in details. Truly
mentioned in Bhagwat Geeta (4:34) – You should gain true knowledge by
approaching a realized teacher. The same thing has been mentioned in Katha
Upanishad – Only a realized teacher has the capabilities to impart the true
knowledge.
A doubtful mind can never be happy either in this world or hereafter.
Despite having potential, a doubtful mind cannot do anything significant in his
life. To achieve something worthy, the
clarity of the mind is mandatory. The true knowledge dispels the doubts of your
mind, it creates clarity. A person with a clear mind can achieve his set goal instead
of adverse situation.
Even a realized teacher cannot do anything, if you do not
have an inner and deeper commitment towards it. If you have an inclination
towards some particular field, want to be an expert in it, search a GURU, who
has done amazing work in this field, that GURU may be your virtual GURU, like
Eklavya had Guru Dronacharya. With your
inner and deeper commitment and determination, and an association with a
realized GURU, create your own ideal life that you always wanted to live without
killing the right of others. A true GURU can be of any form, your parents,
siblings, friends, teacher, spouse, departed soul, books, etc. A person who
dispels your all doubts, and clears your mind is true GURU.
