Failure Direct Us Towards Grand Success

Image
No one likes failure in his life. But failure is an inevitable reality. The failure gives the real identification of the individuals. A mediocre person becomes pompous on success and frustrated on failure. We should not forget that neither success nor failure is final. The sane person always remains equi-poised in both success and failure. Failure or success or ups and downs are akin to the weather that comes and goes at regular intervals. Every season has its own importance on the nature to keep it balanced; similarly, the failure and success have the equal importance in our life to keep our life in control and balanced.   The failure comes in our life to teach and test us for the impending success. The intensity and dimension of our success depends upon the intensity and dimension of the failure, and the prowess of the individuals to surmount it. The failure teach us what not to do next time, which is very crucial otherwise our life would be merely a merry- go-round.  ...

Lord Ganesha, A Symbolism

Image
In mythology, there are different gods and goddess. In Hinduism, it is considered that there are 330 millions gods and goddesses. The elephant headed god, Lord Ganesha is one of them. The mythology is not merely an allegory but contains a very strong message in it. The idol of gods and goddesses are not  just a mental concoction but carries an ethereal divine narrative.        The Rishis of yore, the sage, had so profound understanding of the divinity that they chose to express the divinity in terms of symbols than words. In ancient, the maximum population was illiterate, and also the strong media were not available what we have today. We can see two prominent reasons for symbols and images. First, they wanted to disseminate the divinity to the masses through symbolism and second, words changes over time, but symbols remain unchanged. Weekend Holidays

Image
Have A Happy Weekend Seven days in a week has been divided into two parts, workdays and weekend, the days of work and rest. We consider Saturday and Sunday as weekend. But according to the calendars, Sunday is not a weekend , it is a misnomer. Sunday is merely a holiday not weekend. Let us dig out more to find out, why weekend falls on certain days not on the other days!       Jews and Christians used to work together in the companies. Most of the Jews were the owner of the company and Christians were the managerial staffs. Christians asked for weekly one day holiday on Sunday to go to the Church. Sunday is the Sabbath day for Christians. The word Shabbat or Sabbath derives from the Hebrew verb shavat . Although frequently translated as "rest", another accurate translation of these words is "ceasing (from work)".     In Christian tradition, God created the Heaven and Earth in six days and rested on Sunday. Sunday i...

The Venerable National Emblem

Image
The National Emblem of India has been taken from Sarnath, near Banaras of Uttar Pradesh, Lion capital erected by Maurya emperor Ashoka in the third century BC. This was to mark the spot where the Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma and where the Buddhist Sangha was founded. The national emblem is thus symbolic of contemporary India's endorsement of its ancient commitment to world peace and goodwill.     It has four lions, resting on a circular abacus. The fourth lion is on the rear and hence hidden from view. The emblem symbolizes power, courage, pride, and confidence . The abacus is girded by four smaller animals - guardians of the four directions: the lion of the north, the elephant of the east, the horse of the south and the bull of the west, separated by intervening wheels, over a lotus in full bloom, exemplifying the fountainhead of life and creative inspiration.       The four animals...

Chandra, the moon, had 27 wives. These 27 wives of Chandra were the daughters of King Daksh. These 27 wives are known as Nakshatra. Rohini, one of his wives, was beloved to Chandra. He used to spend all of his time with Rohini only. Rest of his wives demanded the share of their time, but Chandra was not engrossed in anyone but Rohini. These 26 wives of Chandra complained to their father, king Daksh, about the conduct of Chandra towards them. King Daksh tried to make Chandra understand the Dharma, the duty, towards the rest of his wives as well. He recommended him to spend equivalent time with all of his wives. Despite the implication, Chandra was enamored towards Rohini only. Over again, they complained to their father, and at this time, King Daksh imprecated Chandra to lose his brightness and beauty, on which he was proud of.      Due to this cuss, Chandra started waning night by night. In desperation, he met Lord Brahma, the creator. Lord ...
