What is The Range of Your Thought?

Many extraordinary ideas/thoughts were scoffed at initial level. And later upon implementation of those ideas have worked as a miracle for the world. The majority of people have a disease to draw their own confinement of thought. They have created a shell and they do not want to come out of that shell. And whoever talks beyond their shell, they overtly scoff their idea. They are unable to see beyond the defined mark. It does not mean that there is nothing beyond their sight. If someone sees beyond the mark and explains the thing which he can see clearly, he is scoffed or mocked or misunderstood. A human can hear between the ranges of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Beyond or under this range human cannot hear. Dogs can hear beyond and under this range. The silent whistle is blown beyond and under this range to call the dogs. If the sound is not captured in our range, of course we cannot hear, it does not mean that there is no sound out of this defined range. Similarly, most of the people drawn their confinement and they cannot think or act beyond that. These kinds of persons do not make much progress in their life; they live with mediocre life style and thought process throughout their life and career.

Guglielmo Marconi, the father of long distance radio transmission, once discussed his idea about consigning the message through air to his friends. His idea was derided. He shared the same idea many times among his friends, but every time it was misunderstood.  What Marconi was visualizing, that was beyond the range of his friends and people`s thought at that time. His friends thought that he got some mental problem. They took Marconi to the psychiatrist for his mental treatment. The psychiatrist also admitted and treated him many days, because, this idea was also new and esoteric for psychiatrist. Marconi came back home and without further sharing his unique and esoteric ideas among the people and friends, he started working on his ideas. If he would have again shared his ideas, people would have dominated his unique ideas. It is difficult for the human being to come out of the foreordained thought and belief system. Marconi worked on this idea with strong belief and he got grand success in consigning the message through air, and radio took place.

Increase the range of your thought, do not bind your thought in a certain confinement, and do not help yourself in destroying your life and capacity of your mind in tiny stuff. Human are born with stupendous of mental capacity, which make different the human from animals. Animals and plant are born with certain capabilities, and their capabilities are limited. But human are born with the possibilities of abundance of capabilities. The plant cannot give any more or less flowers than his capacity, and animal cannot learn less or more than some certain qualities. Animals are not given any formal training to learn how to hunt, how to make their homes etc. they learn it naturally, but the same is not true for human beings. If they want they can learn more or less according to their thought and effort they put. Personal achievement and development depends upon the personal commitment, and the range of your success depends upon the range of your thought.

What You Really Want and Why?

The meaning of success is not the common for everyone. It differs person to person. Success is something you get, what you wanted to get without violating others right. Success can be at various level, viz. physical level, mental level, spiritual level, material level etc. The true success means the complete enjoyment, the ecstasy. If your body, heart and mind are responding positively by achieving your desire is the real success. Every success and failure comes with the subsequent reaction. It is necessary to monitor what exactly you want and make a note of that. You can make a long list of your desires. The wise always prioritize their desires.

If you are clear what you want and how much you want, then it is doddle for the mind to find how to get it. You can collect all the means and start your journey towards your achievements. If you are genuine and honest in your pursuit, you can become genius in your profession. No matter what your desire is, you can achieve that. You can feel proud and bask in glory on your achievements. But it is also observed that the success of an individual can become one of the primal causes of the unhappiness. For an example, you wanted to get married with a girl of your choice, and after your effort, your got married with the desired one, this is the success for you. Later, if you are finding tough to sustain your marriage, this is the reaction of your marriage. This cannot be called a true success. You are not getting happiness here; you are wasting your time in unbidden anxiety, stress and tension.
What went wrong here?

Everything is looking good here, you got the clarity what you wanted, you found the way how to get it. You put all your diligent effort and energy. But you forgot to check your why clause. Why you wanted it and its possible reaction or side-effect. Why you have taken this action. Is it really going to provide the exact feeling what you always wanted or its reaction has the possibility to provide the feeling which you never wanted?  It is very important to make a proper priority and sequence to achieve your desired goal.

What ------- Why --------- How ----------- Achievement

You may be punished if you are not clear why you want, whatever you want. Alfred Nobel, the inventor of detonator, was very clear on what he wanted and he achieved it. He became very happy on his success. But his success could not provide the happiness to him for a long. When he analyzed the why clause and its possible reaction, he was shocked. The detonator could be very pernicious for the world, if it goes in wrong hand. On mea culpa atonement, he dedicated his money towards the positive development in science and technology. On the interest amount of his deposited money is given as Noble Prize every year to the persons for the extraordinary contribution in the field of science and technology.

Beware! You may get what you want. That is why, be clear with why clause as well. The knowledge of the why clause of your desire dispels all the doubts of the reaction of your achievements.

Trinity God as Electrons, Protons and Neutrons

Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shiva) are known as trinity god in Hinduism. Brahma is a god of creation, Vishnu is savor and Shiva is the destroyer. They look different, but in fact they are one. These are the different qualities of one supreme. Even though, Brahma is the creator, he is not worshiped, because he lied to be the superior, he tried to consume his own creation with wrong intention. These show his negative qualities. Vishnu never lied to show his supremacy, he saved his devotee from devils, and he provides the aegis to the cosmos. He is having all the positive qualities. For the existence of the cosmos and creation, both negative and positive energy is required, means Brahma and Vishnu required. Lord Shiva is an ascetic, a hermit, always engrossed in his deep meditation, detached from the worldly stuff. He is neutral. He is the god of gods, Mahadeva. But whenever, his meditation is disrupted, he destroys everything and make it neutral, means no negative no positive, hence no charge. This is the end of the creation. Scientifically, the similar kind formation of the atom, we can understand from electrons, protons and neutrons.

Atoms are made up of 3 types of particles electrons, protons and neutrons.  These particles have different properties.  Electrons are tiny, very light particles that have a negative electrical charge (-). Protons are much larger and heavier than electrons and have the opposite charge, protons have a positive charge.  Neutrons are large and heavy like protons; however neutrons have no electrical charge.  Each atom is made up of a combination of these particles.

We can see from the above, electrons (Brahma), protons (Vishnu) and neutrons (Mahesh) are having the similar properties the trinity god has. It could be possible that the sages of antiquity wanted to make us understand the formation of Atom and electrons, protons and neutrons through this symbolism and story. In the ancient time, the spirituality and science was not the different subject, they were one. It is also possible that at course of time, we have forgotten the real essence of the symbolism and only shallow symbolism we have hold. By deep study of the mythology, many engraved secret of the science and technology along with the science of the soul can be decrypted.

An Individual Contributor, A Fantastic Opportunity for Talented One

Hanuman is a strong character in Ramayana. During, the search of Sita and Lanka invade by Rama`s monkey and bear army;   Angad was leading a team, Sugriva was leading an another team, Jamavant was working as an adviser. Hanuman was valiant and capable to lead a team, but no team was given to him, he was working as an individual contributor. Why not any team was given to Hanuman, the capable one? Whether Rama was not sure about his leadership skill or Rama wanted to utilize his unparalleled prowess in some critical situations, rather than spending his skill in guiding and leading other people. What could be the reasons… but Hanuman never complained to anyone about this, and remained the loyal devotee of Rama. He served Rama as an individual contributor with supreme devotion.

Needless to say that Hanuman followed all the Rama`s orders very religiously and without any question. Rama told him to locate Sita; He only located Sita in Lanka. He was strong enough to defeat Ravana and Ravana`s army alone to take Sita back to Rama. But he did not do so, because he was not told to do so. A leader need to spend some time and energy to understand his team`s strength and weakness to get the maximum work done by them. And an ideal leader should always be ready to take the blame of the mistakes done by his team. But as an individual contributor, merely you need to pay attention on your strength and weakness and self-improvement. You know your prowess; talent, skill, knack, capabilities and tenacity, and you can confidently execute and show your talent that could be more visible. Your entire focus would be on your personal performances. Hanuman got this opportunity to show his individual talent, and he did the justification with the opportunity. He became the worthy of worship, not Sugriva, Angad or Jamavant.

Sachin Tendulkar, a terrific cricketer, could not become more successful as team captain. But what a fantabulous things he did as an individual contributor. He has been given an epithet of “god of cricket”, not because of his captaincy or seniority, it is because to his individual contribution towards the nation in the field of cricket. In sooth, the individual contribution is a fantastic way to prove the real you and exhibit your real potential and talent.

Why New Year Resolutions Mostly Fails?

Lot of people around the globe takes some New Year Resolution. They take every year some resolution. But how many people among them able to complete their resolution? What do you think… not more than 10%! …right. More than 90% people make their resolution, because others are making some resolution on the New Year. After few days they forget about all the resolution. These kinds of persons are external driven person. They like to go along with the crowd. And crowd is not always true. The wise and genuine persons are internal driven persons. They know what they are committing with themselves, and they complete it. They always walk away from 90% of people; they want to indulge in the 10% of successful people. They do not do what 90% of population does, like taking resolution and forget. Do what 10% of population does, take the resolution and complete it.

New Year is not an appropriate time to take the personal resolution. Your birthdate is the appropriate time to take the person resolution. On your birthday, you get more scope to make it personalized. Because it is more personalized, chance of its success would be in multitudes. Take the resolution on your birthday, set some goal and measure it frequently, and then you can know whether you are really growing according to your age or simply your time and days are passing out. On some achievement during a year, you will get a valid and genuine reason to celebrate your birthday and take new resolution, oath and goal. In fact, your birthday is the New Year for you, and what could be the most appropriate and auspicious day than your birthday to take firm resolution and accomplish it.

New Year Resolution is good for the group resolution. Where you want to see in next one year as a team, as a group, as a party etc.,  Most of the people get failed to complete their resolution, because they do not make it personalized, hence do not take the fully responsibility of it and culminate in fiasco. If you take your life and resolution casual, certainly, you will end with causality.

…When Bhishma Did Mistake

Bhishma is a very strong character in Mahabharata. He was son of Ganga and Shantanu. His childhood name was Devavrata. During his childhood, Devavrata was taught political science and other subjects by Brihaspati and Sukracharya, gurus of the Devas and Asuras respectively; Vedas and religious scriptures by the sage Vasishtha; Sage Markandeya was his spiritual guru. On Ganga's persuasion, Devavrata was taught martial arts, military sciences and the use of weapons by Parashurama. His banner in battle was a golden palm tree. He was known as 'Bhishma Pitamaha' (Pitamaha meaning the grandfather or grandsire) among the Pandavas and the Kauravas. He was a well-known person for his knowledge in politics and many other subjects. He was very good archer and he won battle against his Guru Parshurama (unbeatable, he had defeated all the Kshatriya 21 times alone) and this battle continued for 23 Days. No doubt, he had everything, an ideal king should have. He wanted to see Hastinapur safe and secure. But he did the unforgettable mistakes by which, he could not stop Hastinapur and Kuru dynasty from decline and destruction.

First mistake: -- He took the unbreakable vow not to be a king and follow celibacy for his father`s love to a daughter of a fisherman, Satyavati. This was not a mistake of his father, as his father wanted Devavrata should be the future king of Hastinapur, as he had unparalleled prowess for the kingship. Without knowing the capability of the unborn prince from Shantanu and Satyavati, he closed his door to be a king, and left the future of the Hatinapur on chance.

Second Mistake: -- He abducted princesses Amba, Ambika and Ambalika of Kashi (Varanasi) from the assemblage of suitors at their swayamvara for his brother Vichitravirya. Salwa, the ruler of Saubala, and Amba (the eldest princess) were in love. Upon reaching Hastinapura, Amba confided in Bhishma that she wished to wed Salwa. Bhishma then sent her back to Salwa who turned her down as it was humiliating for a man to accept a woman who had been so long in the company of another man. She then naturally approached Bhishma for marriage who refused her, citing his oath. According the Shastra, Bhishma should marry Amba, as he had abducted her, not his brother Vichitravirya .Amba, humiliated and enraged beyond measure, vowed to avenge herself against Bhishma even if it meant being reborn over and over again. In the next incarnation, Amba took birth as Shikhandi and became the cause of his death.

Third Mistake: -- He had boon of Sweccha Mrityu (control over his own death) from his father. Bhishma and the Pandavas would be four generations apart as Bhishma was himself a prince of marriageable age, when his father Shantanu married Satyavati, so Chitrangad and Vichitravirya were more like sons than brothers to Bhishma. When both Chitrangad and Vichitravirya died heirless, Maharshi Ved Vyas was called upon to revive the lineage. Then Dhritarashtra, Pandu and Vidura were born. The Pandavas and Kauravas were the next generation, so although addressed as grandfather, Bhishma was equivalent to their Great-Grandfather. However, Ved Vyas was not happy fathering the aforementioned three heirs. Due to his Sweccha Mrityu, he lived more than a human life on the earth. He remained a big obstruction between the generations. Due to his presence in Mahabharata battle, the war had become stalemate.

This should be the duty of the old generation to give the way to the new generations, where Bhishma failed, and moreover, despite having the entire prowess to be an ideal king, he refused to be a king, and got ready to follow the orders of the incapable king of Hastinapur. Due to a very long life on the earth, the earth also denied accepting his body, so he remained laid on the bed of arrow till auspicious day came to release his body. If Bhishma would have gone through the natural way, then the story of Mahabharata would have been different.

21 दिसम्बर 2012, विश्व का विनाश या माया का विनाश

Published in Dainik Awantika,21 Dec 2012

You Needn`t to be Someone, Just be Yourself to Enjoy

Everybody in this world experiences the same thing differently. When we talk to someone, we expect from that person to think like us or at least endorse our thought. If the person or a group is not thinking like us or not behaving like us or not endorsing our belief systems or not agreeing on our points; then we start berating that person or group. We forget that, every single person has different vantage point. It is not necessary for someone to think or act like you. We are entitled to be disagreeing on certain points; the same is applicable on others as well. Although, two persons have the same goal yet they differ in their approach according to their material nature, conviction and convenience of thinking. Here paradox may occur. When someone start thinking, acting and behaving like us and have the same goal and the same approach, the competition takes place at very extreme level. And with the competitions, jealous, hatred, despise, frustration, irritation etc. occurs. These are self-destructive foe hidden in human`s sense, heart, mind and intelligence, which blocks the path of right thinking. In this way we invite wrath into our life. In these scenarios, the healthy competition is not possible. An unhealthy competition is very hazardous. It distracts our thought process. And spiritually, we start deteriorating. A spiritually fallen person cannot be happy, no matter how much luxuriant he possesses or how much material achievement he has consummated. If you do not have the freedom of thought and expression, then you are still living in slavery.

In fact, we want the monopoly and patent of our thought. When comparison starts, we manipulate our thoughts. We digress from our natural thought. We drop our uniqueness. We load ourselves with arrogance. Our though adopt the influence of others; we do not remain the same, what we should be. We lose the track of the self-realization and self-confront. We start thinking and discerning about others more than ourselves. Here we lost completely. Comparison word is very treacherous. Comparison takes place between two similar things. We all are take birth as unique entity, then where the matter of comparison is?

In around 6-7 million population of the world, we cannot find two exactly the same person in appearance. There would be certainly some differences. This is the matter of externally comparison. The interior matter of the individual is quite different and complex. The thought, knowledge, experience, confidence, vision etc. of one person is not going to match with other person. God has created every individual with uniqueness to experience the world differently and uniquely. We do the mistake to try to be someone else. We cannot enjoy the world by being someone. The only one way to experience the eternal ecstasy is, to be the true self and original, the way God has created us. Enjoy to the fullest what you already possessing (health, wealth, knowledge, education, family, position etc.) without coveting which belongs to others.

To Whom You Support, Indra Putra or Surya Putra

In Ramayana, Vali and Sugriva were brothers. Vali was son of Indra and Sugriva was son of Surya. Their mother was a monkey called Aruni. Vali was elder. Over confusion, their brotherhood got converted into hostility, Vali and evicted Sugriva. Vali was very valiant and vigor. He was invincible in any face to face battle. He was capable to kill Ravana and his army alone. Vali had kept Ravana in his armpit for six months when Ravana had tried to disrupt his penance. On Ravana`s request, Vali had released him from this pang. Vali was given a boon that he would absorb half the strength of the enemy facing him.

In the quest of Sita, Rama and Laxman met with Sugriva. They became friends. Sugriva promised Rama to help him in locating Sita. He also narrated his story with Rama. Rama promised him to help him to get it return his lost prestige and Share from his brother Vali. They planned to kill Vali. It was not possible for anyone to kill Vali by facing him. Rama sent an arrow from his hiding and killed Vali. Dying Vali asked to Rama- “why you have killed me from the hidings, it is not a Dharma for a warrior. If you would have told me to locate Sita, I would have done it easily.” Rama could not give clear answers to the questions of Vali. At last, Vali instructed his army and his son Angad to help Rama to search Sita.

In Mahabharata, Karna and Arjun were brothers. Both were from Kunti. Karna was son of Surya and Arjun was son of Indra. Karna was elder. Due to labyrinth of their birth, both were unaware about their brotherhood. They lived in hostility. Karna was invincible, if the curse was not imposed on him. He had more prowess than Arjun. Karna had strength and skill to kill all five Pandavas alone. By proper guidance of Krishna, and due to curse, Karna was killed by Arjun in the battle. Karna was unarmed when he was arrowed to death by Arjun.

We can observe from both the epics that Vishnu supported the weaker side. In Rama incarnation, he supported Surya-Putra, Sugriva. And in Krishna incarnation, he supported Indra-putra, Arjun. This is law of Karma. What you have done, you need to nullify it, and you need to balance it. The same Vali, took the birth as hunter in Krishna incarnation, and arrowed in the sole of Krishna in the same fashion, from his hiding,  mistaken as a bird. Krishna sacrificed his body and left for Vaikunth, his eternal abode.

Practice Makes a Man Perfect! … Never

A famous proverb says “Practice Makes a Man Perfect.” Other says- “No one is perfect.”  Which one between two aphorisms is true? Even history has not found any perfect person so far. People make different kinds of records, has done stupendous of inventions and discoveries etc. It does not mean that those persons were perfect. If it would be like that then no records would have been broken and no new records would have been set, no new improvement would have been taken in the inventions and discoveries.  We can say that those persons were high performers, not perfect. Even the high performers would not be agreeing to say themselves a perfect. Perfect means end, there is nothing else can be done after this. A person can be expert, the best, but not perfect. It could be our measurement, which can indicate someone as perfect. In fact, there is no point existing where we can put a mark as perfect-mark, and can claim that the perfection has been achieved.
Practice makes merely improvement, not perfect. It makes you better and better on your every single practice. Practice enables you to avoid errors that were done previously. Practice begins in the cradle and ends in the grave. You practice more than others; your chances would more to be ahead and better than others. Repeated practice lessons your deficiencies. Merely practice is not assure you to be the best or winner. Practice with positive mental attitudes increase your chances to be the best and winner in your pursuits.
You can be near to the perfect, but not perfect. Perfect eludes you and always run ahead of you. It encourages you to do more and more in your pursuits. If someone has achieved something unprecedented, we say he is perfectionist. It is not like that, he has just created a new bench-mark, not the perfect-mark. No one can delineate the perfect-mark. An arrogant can claim so. If the perfect-mark would have been existed, then this world would have been stagnant. No inventions, no discoveries etc. would have been taken place. There is nothing to be done beyond perfection. Perfect means full stop. It would be dishonest to say practice makes a man perfect. An honest and determined practice makes an improvement in your pursuit. There is always a room for new impetus and improvement in any profession. There was and would  always be an opportunity to be the best.  Assuming yourself perfect means stopping the path of progress.

Lord Shiva As a Head Chopper

Lord Shiva is known as God of destruction in Hinduism.   He is an ascetic, and most of the time, He is found in deep meditation in secluded place. He is OK, until and unless, someone tries to disrupt His deep meditation.  No other gods have power to control lord Shiva, if He takes His Rudra form. Whoever deviate Him from His meditation for some evil purpose, He incinerates them to ashes. Once, Kaamdev tried to delude Him by putting the desire in His heart to get Him married with Parvati. Lord Shiva found disturbance in His meditation and sneered at Kaamdev and incinerated him to ashes. No desire can bound or swerve Him. Three demon brothers of Tripura, by the boon of Brahma, became invincible by any other gods. They permeated their atrocity all over the three words. Lord Shiva found them on the path of unrighteousness and the danger for the creation. Although, those three demons were the great devotee of Lord Shiva, He incinerated them and their city Tripura into ashes for the establishment of the peace and harmony in the creation, and put the ashes of the city on His forehead horizontally.

In some cases, we find that Lord Shiva did not incinerate the disturber to ashes but decapitated the heads only without any marks on their body.  Lord Shiva is the embodiment of soul, a Purusha, and Parvati is the embodiment of material, the Prakriti. Vinayak did not recognize Shiva and stopped Him to meet Parvati. Lord Shiva decapitated his head. Brahma, the creator, ogled his own creation, Shatrupa. On this, lord Shiva decapitated Brahma`s fifth head. Prajapati Daksh is a mind borne son of Brahma, and father of Sati (form of Shakti or Parvati). Daksh did not respect Lord Shiva and ignored Sati in his Yagna. Lord Shiva in Bhairav form disrupted his Yagna and decapitated Daksh`s head. On pacify of Lord Shiva, their heads were superseded with elephant`s head (Ganesha) and billy-goat`s head (Daksh). Brahma`s fifth head was not required to be superseded,  as his fifth head was so engrossed with attachment and arrogance of his creation that it was not possible to change, but to destroy it to make Brahma to think and act with his other four heads.

Kaamdev is a god of Desire. Desires indulge a creature in the cycle of material pool. He is God, nothing is unreachable for Him, and He is far above of desire. So he completely destroyed Kaamdev, the desire.  Tripura city was created by three demons against the creation and nature, hence was creating imbalance in the universe. So, He destroyed Tripura completely.

The head is the embodiment of thought. There was not issue with Brahma, Vinayak or Daskh. There was problem with their thought. They had become arrogant and attached. They refused to recognize the true self, the soul. By superseding their thought, they got enlightened, and became venerable. In these cases, they were not required to be destroyed utterly, but merely to change their thought. These mythological legends are indicating that no one is great by birth but by thought. The possibility is there for anyone to be great by changing one`s thought under the guidance of supreme.

Hinduism is not a Religion, It is a Misnomer

Hinduism as a religion has not been prophesied in any authentic scripture or old scripture before 1830. This is a misnomer, and still people use it widely to indicate a religion. The word Hindu is a geographical definition or name to address a group of people who are staying in the particular region. Hindu is not a religion, it is a region.

The Parsi and Arabs came to India. They were not aware about the name of the land (India). India is on the bank of river Sind. They started calling Hindu to the people who lived on the bank of river Sind. Initially it was Sindu, later it became Hindu. The Parsi and Arabs pronounce “S” as “H”, like “Saptah” became “Haptah”. Whoever is staying in this country and whatever religion he is following, is Hindu by geographical definition or name. The place where Hindu lives came to be known as Hindustan or the region which is watered by the river Sind or Hind is known as Hindustan. The European called the Sind river as Indus river. The place which is watered by Indus River, they called India. In this way our country got one more name “India”, and to the people, they called Indians. India is also a geographical name. Hindu or Hinduism is not a religion, the way Indian or India is not a religion. Both are geographical names. Others name of India are Aryavart, Bharat-Varsh, Bharat, Jambu Dweepa. The ancient name of India was Aja Nabha Varsha (Aja means Brahma, Nabha means navel or central portion). All these names have some legends are associated with them. But as per the constitution of India, India and Bharat, only these two names are official or constitutional.

Hinduism has been derived from the word Hindu. Hinduism was a name given in English language in the Nineteenth Century by the English people to the multiplicity of the beliefs and faiths of the people of the Indus land. The British writers in 1830 gave the word Hinduism to be used as the common name for all the beliefs of the people of India. According to the Hindu Scholars, Hinduism is a misnomer and the religion ‘Hinduism’ should be either referred to as ‘Sanatana Dharma’, which means eternal religion, or as Vedic Dharma, meaning religion of the Vedas. According to Swami Vivekananda, the followers of this religion are referred to as Vendantists.

All the Religions Have the Same Purpose

All the religious practices all together make a complete journey to reach the destination, the spirituality. In the religious scriptures of the individual’s religion have been given the method to be what your religion wants you to be. If you are a Vedantist or Sanatan dharmi (Hindu), the Hindu scriptures teach you how to get the eternity, how to be a transcendentalist, how to think and act above all of the three material nature, how to get rid of the continuous falling in the material pool and free from the cycle of the continuous birth and death, and how to know your true self.

If you are a Jain, your path, ritual and scriptures teach you how to get rid of the vices and vanity. The monk or progenitors of Jains are called Jina, Jina means who has conquered over the vices of senses, jealous, hatred, anger etc. And hence, the followers of Jina became Jain. Jain talks about the control over the senses and detachment. If you are a Boudh, your path, ritual and scriptures teach you how to get control over your mind and get enlightened and wisdom. If you are Christian, your path, ritual and scriptures teach you how to take and feel pain of others to get rid of vices and vanity. The followers of Christ are known as Christians. Christ means anoint one, who heals other, who lives for the sake of others. This method became for them to understand the eternity and soul. Islam is an Arabic word, which comes from the word ‘Salm’ which means peace and from 'Silm', which means submitting your will to the Almighty God.  In short, Islam means peace acquired by submitting your will to the Almighty God. A Muslim is a person who submits his will to the Almighty God. Sikhs believe in the equality of humankind, the concept of universal brotherhood of man and One Supreme God (Ik Onkar). The term "Sikh" has its origin in Sanskrit term śiya, meaning disciple, student or learner. To be a disciple of the Satguru, one must completely surrender one's will and wisdom to the Will and Wisdom of the Satguru. Sikh should be good listener to Guru. Without good listener, you cannot be a good learner. Guru is who teaches the quality (gun) of life. Bhagwat Geeta (2:66) says -- Surrender unto Me(God) to get the salvation.

All the religions have merely one purpose to know the self, the spirit. The art of knowing the spirit is known as spirituality. They all are trying to show the path of the spirituality only. Although they may appear different, yet all have the same purpose. For the nascent, the path, the teaching and guiding style may look different. Although, they appear different, yet there is no reason to despise others path in this pursuit. The entire path culminates with the supreme only. For all the religions, there is only one God. All the religious scriptures support that. Whether it is Veda or Bible or Quran or Guru Garanth Sahib Etc. all prophesies the oneness of God. There could be different names and attributes of the same God. Different names and attributes do not mean that we have multiple Gods.

No religion existing on the earth is complete. All the religions are complementary to one-another. The persons who despise and envy others way of approach or religion are in incomplete knowledge and can never reach to the spirituality. Without controlling senses, you cannot control your mind, and without control over your mind, you cannot listen the inner voice, without listening, how you can learn about the uniqueness and oneness of God without duality. Without knowing Him, how you can surrender to Him, and without surrendering to Him, how you can know your true self, the spirit.

By Definition and practice --- If you are conquering over sense and vices, you are Jain. You are controlling your mind to get wisdom, you are Boudh. You are listening and learning the inner voice, means your inner journey started, you are Sikh. You are helping and healing others, you are Christian. You are submitting and surrendering to the Almighty to acquire the peace, you are Muslim. You are experiencing the eternity and ecstasy, you are Vedantist. The wise see them with egalitarianism and ignorant see them with animosity, and fight over the supremacy over others.

Why Brahma is not Worshiped

Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shiva) are known as trinity gods in Hinduism. Brahma is the creator, Vishnu is the savior and maintainer, and Shiva is the destroyer.  Vishnu or other form of Vishnu is worshiped widely, and various temples are dedicated to him. Shiva, even though he is the destroyer, is worshipped more widely, and uncountable temples are dedicated to Him. Although, Brahma is the creator of the Jiva and universe, he is not worshiped widely, very few temples are dedicated to Brahma; one famous temple “Pushkar temple” is dedicated to him which is in Rajasthan. Why this prejudice with the creator? As per his work, he should be worshiped more widely than any other gods and goddesses.

According to the Pouranic legends, Brahma sprang out from the lotus, which was sprouted out from the naval of lord Vishnu. Brahma and Vishnu started fight over the supremacy on other. During this fight a giant and infinite Linga, the phallus, appeared before them. They stopped their fight, and they put condition that whoever be the first to find the extreme of this Linga would be greater. Vishnu went downwards and Brahma upwards. The Linga was infinite. In the lust to be greater, Brahma lied that he had found the extreme of the Linga. On this lie, Shiva cursed Brahma not to be worshiped, and Vishnu would be the eligible to be worshiped. Other legend-- Brahmarshi Bhrigu cursed him because when he went to Brahma to invite him for a Yagna he was deeply immersed in the music played by Saraswati and couldn't hear Bhrigu's calls.

Lord Shiva had assigned the work to Brahma to create Jiva and universe. In the process of his creation, he created Shatarupa, she had ethereal beauty. Brahma enamored by her ethereal beauty. He stopped every work but gazing at her. She was scared by the abnormal behavior of her creator. She ran left, one extra head at the left side got sprouted, she ran right, and one more extra head got sprouted at the right side. She went his back; one more extra head got sprouted at the back. She stated flying up; one more head at the top got sprouted. With all five heads and ten eyes, Brahma was inexorably ogling at her.

In desperation, Shatarupa asked for help. Lord Shiva appeared at the site and decapitated Brahma`s fifth head. Then Brahma realized his actual duty to create the world. Saraswati (Shatarupa) became his Shakti, the power, to create the universe. The four Vedas (Rig, Saama, Ayur and Atharva) came from his four mouths. His fifth head was top of all the four heads. The fifth head is beckoning Brahma`s ego, proudness and attachment to his creation. And he kept his ego, proudness and attachment on the top of all other knowledge Vedas and his prescribed duty. Hence Shiva decapitated his fifth head only.  Brahma symbolizes voluntary force, a small, transient and totally controllable force, best suited for experiments. Thus, Brahma is ideal god for creation of a new life, after our life is devastated completely.  If the power of creation is used recklessly it would result in creation of a secret demonic parallel life.

From the above legends, we can deduce that Brahma lied for  getting  better position and prove him greater. He ignored Bhrigu's calls, became too much arrogant and attached to his own creation. These qualities are of the Jivatma (living being). By these qualities, Brahma is tantamount to Jivatma; hence he is not suitable to be worshiped. That is why Vedanta says – everyone has capacity to create himself. A Brahma (creator), is hidden in everyone`s mind.  Aham Brahmashi, tat tvam asi.
