All the Religions Have the Same Purpose

All the religious practices all together make a complete journey to reach the destination, the spirituality. In the religious scriptures of the individual’s religion have been given the method to be what your religion wants you to be. If you are a Vedantist or Sanatan dharmi (Hindu), the Hindu scriptures teach you how to get the eternity, how to be a transcendentalist, how to think and act above all of the three material nature, how to get rid of the continuous falling in the material pool and free from the cycle of the continuous birth and death, and how to know your true self.

If you are a Jain, your path, ritual and scriptures teach you how to get rid of the vices and vanity. The monk or progenitors of Jains are called Jina, Jina means who has conquered over the vices of senses, jealous, hatred, anger etc. And hence, the followers of Jina became Jain. Jain talks about the control over the senses and detachment. If you are a Boudh, your path, ritual and scriptures teach you how to get control over your mind and get enlightened and wisdom. If you are Christian, your path, ritual and scriptures teach you how to take and feel pain of others to get rid of vices and vanity. The followers of Christ are known as Christians. Christ means anoint one, who heals other, who lives for the sake of others. This method became for them to understand the eternity and soul. Islam is an Arabic word, which comes from the word ‘Salm’ which means peace and from 'Silm', which means submitting your will to the Almighty God.  In short, Islam means peace acquired by submitting your will to the Almighty God. A Muslim is a person who submits his will to the Almighty God. Sikhs believe in the equality of humankind, the concept of universal brotherhood of man and One Supreme God (Ik Onkar). The term "Sikh" has its origin in Sanskrit term śiya, meaning disciple, student or learner. To be a disciple of the Satguru, one must completely surrender one's will and wisdom to the Will and Wisdom of the Satguru. Sikh should be good listener to Guru. Without good listener, you cannot be a good learner. Guru is who teaches the quality (gun) of life. Bhagwat Geeta (2:66) says -- Surrender unto Me(God) to get the salvation.

All the religions have merely one purpose to know the self, the spirit. The art of knowing the spirit is known as spirituality. They all are trying to show the path of the spirituality only. Although they may appear different, yet all have the same purpose. For the nascent, the path, the teaching and guiding style may look different. Although, they appear different, yet there is no reason to despise others path in this pursuit. The entire path culminates with the supreme only. For all the religions, there is only one God. All the religious scriptures support that. Whether it is Veda or Bible or Quran or Guru Garanth Sahib Etc. all prophesies the oneness of God. There could be different names and attributes of the same God. Different names and attributes do not mean that we have multiple Gods.

No religion existing on the earth is complete. All the religions are complementary to one-another. The persons who despise and envy others way of approach or religion are in incomplete knowledge and can never reach to the spirituality. Without controlling senses, you cannot control your mind, and without control over your mind, you cannot listen the inner voice, without listening, how you can learn about the uniqueness and oneness of God without duality. Without knowing Him, how you can surrender to Him, and without surrendering to Him, how you can know your true self, the spirit.

By Definition and practice --- If you are conquering over sense and vices, you are Jain. You are controlling your mind to get wisdom, you are Boudh. You are listening and learning the inner voice, means your inner journey started, you are Sikh. You are helping and healing others, you are Christian. You are submitting and surrendering to the Almighty to acquire the peace, you are Muslim. You are experiencing the eternity and ecstasy, you are Vedantist. The wise see them with egalitarianism and ignorant see them with animosity, and fight over the supremacy over others.
