All people thought at every angle, but did not get any clue how to make it shorter without touching it. Birbal was a witty minister; he was well-known for his presence of mind and providing the solution of the complex problems. It was well-known for the both Devas (gods) and Asuras (demons) that the Amrut, the ambrosia of immortality, and Laxmi, the goddesses of wealth, and other gems are in the Milk Ocean. Both Devas and Asuras had the same desire and objective, but with distinct intentions, to get Amrut and Laxmi. The churning of ocean was required to get out Amrut, Laxmi and gems.
